This one-day free LPC student forum is aimed at the JLD’s LPC student and paralegal members – to assist them in their search for a training contract.

We don’t have a programme as yet, but the event will include the following sessions:

What to expect from your training contract
How networking can advance your legal career
What firms look for in their trainees
Managing your time and dealing with stress
The recruitment process from start to finish and how to nail it

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a member of Bristol JLD committee. I was able to make valuable connections with some really engaging colleagues. Covid-19 lockdowns achieved overnight changes in the workplace. The chief beneficiaries are often people well established in their careers, rather than those at the start finding their feet. I am particularly proud the efforts we made to vocalise the concerns of junior lawyers during the early stages of the pandemic.
